LSCT FOC



LSCT Freshmen Orientation Camp


Just came back from LSCT FOC camp this afternoon. I'm feeling pretty tired right now but let's just blog first ok.


The camp was for 3 days and 2 nights. It was quite fun. The games were really wet and dirty. But extremely fun. Stings and stinks a little. No wait. Stings a little but stinks a lot! It stung because I got scratches on my knees from crawling very quickly on very muddy, very wet, very sandy canvas on the ground. All the friction and abrasions. I was kinda worried that the mud water would get into my eyes and spoil my contact lenses or something. Well just crawling wouldn't really get muddy water into my eyes or mouth. But there were GLs everywhere throwing muddy water bombs at us while we're crawling. So all the way I was squinting and shutting my mouth until I finished that section which was called "Milky Way". Then the whole day we got wet again and again from hoses and games with water and water bombs. Slept at 2 something in the morning. And it was COLD! It felt like the air-con was blowing at full blast. I could actually feel myself shivering while I was sleeping. I almost pee-ed.


Woke up at 8 the next day. Or was it 7? Whatever. Found out my time had come. I was like "What the.. Not now!" So, so sad right. The whole day there were games, wet and dirty games but me and some other girls couldn't play. Missed out some of the fun. We were really high on the second day, by the way. Cheered really loudly. Then in the evening, after the shower, we, the Frozones (our group name), prepared for the performance we'd have to put up that night. We did commercials. One was the Gatsby commercial where there's this "If you're happy and you know it, clap your hair.." song. Most of the guys were the Gatsby people. I was one too since my hair could be styled with wax and wax clay. I was the only girl doing the Gatsby thing. Actually there was another girl doing it too but she was sick and had to go home. Yup, so my hair was styled by Kam! Wax and clay were dunked onto my head. And she styled it. She tried doing this "horns" on top of my head but my hair were too long so it kinda didn't stand. The guys hair were super nice! Thorns, horns and antennae. Super cool! Hahah! See the photos. The next commercial was McDonald's. The one about the paycheck thingy. Super nice too when the guys stacked on top of each other to represent the burger which costs $1.95. Hahah! After the commercials, we did a song dedication. Overall, our performance went very well.


After that we had the night walk. There's always night walk for every camp. Well, this night walk, during the pre-night walk, I was already freaking out cuz Roy (our GL) told stories about the school. I had goosebumbs the whole time. Then when I found out we had to go walk alone, I freaked! I made up my mind not to go through it. But Roy kept saying we have to go and I started crying. Hahah. No one knew la. Hahah. Then, thank God, the SGL said we're going in pairs. I was relieved beyond anything. My partner was Ervia! Closest to her in the group. Oh, oh! We have the same taste in guys! Hahah! It's like when she asked me who's the two cutest guys in our group, I told her and she started laughing in disbelief. She got the same two guys as me. Hahah. So anyway, we had to wait for hours before we went through the night walk. It took super long la. Waited until I couldn't keep my eyes open. It's like we had to wait for a couple to go and wait for a while before the next one goes. Ervia and me waited so long ok. We fell asleep on the cold, tiled floor waiting for our turn. It was not until 4 in the morning when we were finally able to go. Then, suddenly, I was wide awake. The stupid scary stories crept back into my head. It was totally dark and there were things lying around on the floor that we can't step on and everything. Then we had to walk along the corridor of classes. All the way I was looking on the ground. No way was I going to look around and suddenly see something in the window or something. Anyway, there were people hiding around scaring us and we screamed at everything. When it was over we had to wait some more and finally we got back to our bunk at 6 in the morning. So we only had like 2 hours of sleep. Super tired man.


Next day, the last day, we gathered in the LT and did some stuff. Like dancing and cheering and singing and everything. There were photo taking also and everyone started crying. Cuz we're like going to miss each other. I tried not to cry but at the end, when we gathered into our groups and said stuff like "Thanks GLs, you were the best, caring for us" and "I'm glad to meet you guys, I had fun, we're really got closer", I started crying ok! The guys and GLs cried also. It was like so touching. Then we hugged here and there. Then we were dismissed.


Wow, the entry's super long! And I have to stop with the 'super' thing. I keep saying super this, super that these few days. Gonna go sleep now. Desperately need rest.
