Ouch!
Ouch!
No mood today. Well actually not today. Just a few minutes ago. Yea, so today's entry is going to sound dead. Enjoy.
Saturday, 21st My mom left for KL with her sisters a.k.a my aunt and their mother a.k.a my grandmother. It's a belated Mothers' Day treat for them mothers from my dad.
Sunday, 22nd Went out to eat for lunch/dinner with the rest of the family (dad and sisters). Then went to this religious talk thingy. I didn't know that was planned so I was dressed inappropriately (if there's such a word). Super boring/tiring but this one speaker was funny. Then there was a performance by the orphans. Cried. But overall, I didn't enjoy it. Plus I learnt a lesson that day. I learnt that I can't stand staying home with only my dad. He's so hard-headed (or is it strong-headed?) and he makes me so frustrated.
Monday, 23rd Went to the beach. I was supposed to go for this Frozone outing but, yea, my mom wasn't home yet, only my dad (and my sisters).. why don't you guess the rest, ok? Argh!! So I played with the sand and sea water. Wrote stuff in the sand. Then sat on dry sand and let my mind wander. I think I had a feeling of nostalgia. The sky that day was nice. One side was very dark blue and gloomy-looking and i think i saw a lightning. The other side was super sunny. Really. The same day at the same time. Went home around 4pm. Fell asleep at 5pm. Didn't hear my mom come home. But saw her when I woke up at 11pm (i think) to answer the phone. Lots of messages and missed calls. Decided to reply them cuz i thought they were important-all about the next day, the start of school.
Tuesday, 24th Hellooo school! I was there for only 3 hours. By right, my class didn't have to come to school that day. The 3-hour lesson is only for even weeks. This week is odd. So that means, I'll be at home every odd-week-tuesday. Well, so we came, but didn't do that much. Then went to eat lunch with friends at the canteen. Saw so many friends I made from the camps. Miss them. After lunch, went to the bookshop near the Atrium to buy our books. One was a dictionary (not an ordinary dictionary) which was quite small and not that heavy. The other two books more than make up for the dictionary's weight. They were super huge and super thick and super super heavy textbooks! The plastic bag I used to carry the darn books already had holes at the corners by the time i reached the bus stop outside the school. I didn't think I could survive with the books taking a bus, then a train and then another bus so I took a cab. I could so see my money fly out my wallet to the driver's hand. Heartache.
Got home. Mom was home with my 5-year-old sister. We went out and ate at Burger King. Then we went shopping. I bought almost $200 worth of clothes. That's the consequence of going to poly. Anyway, I have more nice clothes now. Then I bought a pair of shoes. And materials for Project DOE. Mom just bought programs for the computer. Went home and arranged my wardrobe.
Then flipped through my new textbooks. There's a lot of pictures inside. Interesting. Really. Being a nurse is so going to be interesting.
TODAY I was dressed totally different to school today. Some hardly recognized me but I received compliments. Thanks people. So school today was ok. Had lectures about psychology first thing. The lecturer's "a little bit obese", as he would like to say it. He's very funny and open and nice. Then tutorial with him. My class only has 17 people. The smallest class. Cool. Then we had our break. Ate at the restaurant at Singapore Institute of Management. *Hear the crowd go 'Waahhh!* Hahah. The food was yummy. Then I saw a TV talk show host. Cool.
Next up was this class that teaches us skills, i think. We learnt about body-something or other. Learnt how to balance ourselves or position ourselves the right way when trying to lift or carry a patient on the hospital bed. The room is like a hospital room. There were hospital beds with the bed sheet, blanket, the side railings, the 'tray', the remote control for making the bed go higher or lower, the works, you know. And there were dummies on every bed. They're the kind of dummies that really resemble human bodies. So the head, the wrists, the knees, the ankles, every thing that a human body's able to move, the dummies can too. We were taught how to change the linens with a patient on it. It was kinda difficult to do. And that's where the body mechanics stuff we learnt comes in. We had to lift the patient to the side or whatever. So we actually had a real life person (Nisa) on the bed instead of a dummy. And this girl and I were supposed to carry the dummy to another bed so Nisa can get into the bed. The dummy was super heavy!! I had trouble lifting the thing. So i kinda looked awkward and funny and clumsy. Hahah! Everyone else were laughing. Hahaha! Super funny.
Next was another lecture about the history of nursing. The only thing that i can really remember from that lecture is Florence Nightingale! Hahah. Nice.
After that, school ends for the day. By that time, my feet were hurting badly. I had blisters and my toes were squashed. Stupid shoes. It's not too small for me. It's actually quite loose. But I 'tahan' the pain the whole day. I'm a survivor. Yay.
Got home, read something online, and my mood turned black. I'm sick of him doing this to me. Argh! But I talked to Sharifah! Yay-ness! So I'm cheered up a little.
Ooh! Someone ordered Pizza!!
*Rush off* Eat my dust!
